To update everyone on the Three River Trading Website. We are finally in full swing. There are still some minor areas that I'm working on but most of the main site is done. One minor irritation is the layout that I use is limited in what areas I can make adjustments. I can not change the background color in the item title bar. It's a yucky lime green and clashes with the soft shades of the surrounding configurations. I would like it to be the same color as the navigation bar across the top. I was finally able to change the store banner and replace it with my logo, though. Another area of irritation is that I can't use the right hand side of the display. I wanted to open that area up to my affiliate ads and and store navigaion instructions.

I have added a 'Sponsored Links...' link but have not wrote the script for the display page. Does anyone have experience with link pages verses home page ads. Leave me if so. I would like to put the paydotcom widget and other links on a separate pge. Will people click thru?

New Three River Trading Blog

Welcome to my blog for my webstore, Three River Trading. I started putting it together the last week in July, 2008. It was online August 10. The store is centered around products in my catalog. You can browse the individual catagories or the catalogs. There are seven catalog all told, but three are displayed at this time. The World of Products is the main catalog with 400+ pages. The others are specific selections of similar items. The Big Value catalog shows items under $20 while the Family Avenues displays items of interest to a family in general. Other catalogs will be added as time passes. The items found in the specialty catalogs are also in the WOP catalog except they are focused in a particular theme.

The site will be changing as I configure all the bells and whistles. I will be trying out different layouts and arrangements to find just what suits me. I am partial to the black background and the lay out I have now is one of the best of the selections I have and it has the best display layout. Its actually a 'holiday' variation of the default layout. I like the color scheme. My favorite colors are greens and the lighter shades purple. For now, I am working with this layout. I hope all of you visiting this blog will visit my webstore and check it out. I would appreciate any feed back as well. I am striving to create an eye pleasing site thats easy to browse and use.
